michael621 Great!

I love the Volt, it is the coolest thing. No issues of any kind. I only have 550 miles on it so far, but have enjoyed every one of them in all electric. I love the fact that my lawn mower has a higher consumption of gas than the car does. May look into a rechargeable mower at some point!

I have been neglecting my 2016 Colorado, so backed it out of the garage today to give it a wash, and it seemed so odd to fire up the engine, lol.

mooncrazy.debono Thanks, Michael,

I will try myvolt.com.

What I should have added was I don't care if it is a full charge my only concern is it charges between 10pm and 8am. Trying to save money as well as the environment.

How do you like your Volt? Any problems?

michael621 I believe what it is trying to say is that if the selected charge window is too short to achieve a full charge, then it will start charging immediately. You could switch to a higher charge amperage (12 instead of 8) and that will shorten the time and may work better. Although charging at 120v at 12A, it will still take approximately 13 hours to fully charge from empty, although it is much better than the 19 hours at 8 amp.
Also, when you log in to the myvolt.com site, there is a wizard there you can use to set this up.

Delayed Charging

2017 Volt and new to EVs

I'd like to charge only from 10pm to 8am but the books says:

Also, if the selected electric rate settings result in a very long charge completion time, the vehicle will start charging immediately upon plug-in. For example, if the electric rate table is set up with all Peak rates and the rate preference is to charge during Off-Peak rates only, then the vehicle will start charging immediately upon plug-in.

How do I override this?
