8 amp,12 amp rate

Had a long conversation with a volt advisor and then a volt supervisor

The default to 8 amp on 2013 volts is just rediculus

I told them that having to change the rate 365 days a year is a deal breaker and had I known befre purchase, I would have not bought the car

I suggested if its a legal issue to have a pop up like a nav screen

Even more logical, when you press the charge port release a pop up should come up on the center stack to ask your choice of charge rate

They are aware many are unhappy, but I think if owner call and complain in large numbers they may change the setting

4 or 5 steps to change the setting is bs

Charge rate

I only own this car for a week and this charge rate thing drives me nuts. Why can't they give you a switch or something. Grrrrrrrr

Charge rate

Please call a volt advisor and bitch about it

The more complaints they get, and they are getting plenty the more likely they are to fix it

8/12 isn't that hard

I just leased my 2013 last night. I'm glad it's got both options. Pushing a leaf button then the middle button then the 8 or 12 option takes me all of 3 seconds. I have no problems with it at all. Granted, having it set to save on one setting would be very nice. Perhaps a 30 second temp screen asking 8 or 12 with the default being 12 would be helpful.

No big deal. There is a gasoline generator backup.
