Mice Attack Wiring

Surprisingly, the mice have attacked my wiring system under the car, a 2014 Volt. I am looking for a way to deter them in the future. I believe my insurance may cover this under the comprehensive coverage. However I donít want this to be duplicated. Any suggestions? I understand that sway in the materials used to cover the wires may be the culprit.

you need to stop the entry of unwanted pets by putting solutions or spray to let them away.
