Did anyone experience increase in EV range?

I bought my 2018 Volt a month ago. At first, I had 53 miles of EV range after a full charge, as expected. The range slowly increased day to day, and now I have 68 miles of EV range after a full charge. Obviously I am not complaining. I now use zero gas as my daily commute is 62 miles. My concern is, why is it doing this? Does it cause strain on the battery affecting its life expectancy? Has anyone else experienced this?

How you drive!

This is because of how you drive the car,I have a 2017 Bolt that will charge up to 409 miles and a 2018 Volt that charges up to 68 miles Its how you drive the car! the Volt has a 18.4 KWH BATTERY and uses 14.4 KWH of the battery you can easy get over 5 miles per 1 KWH used. So you could get over 70 miles on a charge by how you drive, and use heat or AC, in the vehicle.

68? Wow. Will the battery blow up? The highest mine did was 59 and it charged on 12 amps in 90 degree weather. I worried. Not sure if it is ok to go much higher than it's advertised to do. When it's -30 or -40 I only get 29 miles on a charge.
