"Hello" out there ... noobie here.
Just have to say, I'm excited about the new Chevy Volt ever since reading about the concept but especially when I saw it at the NAIAS in Detroit and found out just how little my electric bill would increase from plugging it into our household electrical supply. Nice to think it's just that much less wealth going to unstable parts of the world. As far as global warming is concerned, I'm not concerned ... we'll be entering another ice age in as little as a few hundred years regardless of what humans do over the next fifty years while there's oil to be had.
Unfortunately, I just don't see being able to get a new one the first year, but hope to find a used one a couple of years after introduction. By then, my current car (domestic, of course
) will have about 150k on it, and I'll be ready for the excitement of a different daily driver.
