Volvo to Volt
I'm a twelve year Volvo (S60) owner, but in March 2016, I replaced the Volvo with a (leased) Volt. I like everything about this car: its pickup, it's quiet, and the fact that I almost never have to put gas in it. I do have a (happy) question for others. Lately, my range on charging (110 volts) has been creeping up. It's routinely 66-68 miles. This morning it was 71 miles. I notice that the first one or two of these range miles fall off rapidly but the high range is mostly real. Have others been noting range in excess of the advertised 53 miles?
On a less happy note, though I love the REGEN paddle braking, I've noticed that you have to be careful. If a front tire hits a pothole as you are braking, it sometimes releases and the car surges forward. This can be dangerous if you're pulling to a stop at a light behind another car and the street is badly paved. Again, has anyone else noted this?
