We have a Toyota Electric RAV and have re-charged it exclusively with solar cells.
Not a dimes worth of public or fuel generated electricity used to re-charge in over 36.000 miles.
They best range we ever got was about 92 miles on a charge.
The Volt is a natural transition for us.
It'll be re-charged when ever possible with solar cells too.
I would bet it'll go way farther than the 40 miles GM claims.
I'd also bet Toyota and Honda will release their versions too.
Too bad the planned Chevy Cruse wont be plug and play too.
or,, will it?
We'll see.
I see a bright future for GM.
