How about a technology section? For example, if I wanted to talk about battery technology, it's definitely related to the Volt, but really more related to the technology.

Discussion about the electric motors, battery and energy density, battery storage capacity, etc. would be better off in a "Technology" section rather than under some sub-category of the Chevy Volt.
