El Calor 11-10-2007, 07:39 PM I haven't been able to find out a target price yet, but I did find this which I thought was interesting :) GM has not stated a target price for the Volt, but the lithium-ion batteries alone would cost upward of $10,000 today! Whats another 5 or 10 grand to lead the charge to fuel efficiency. I hope the warranty is at least 5 years 100,000 miles like other GM products.. Afterall it is new technology. Would help if it were all inclusive for the 5 years considering yet again its all new technology and would justify the higher price of the initial purchase.
