Home charging station

I just purchased a 2017 Premier Volt and would like to know what home charging stations are compatible (220/240).

Called Clipper (mentioned in other posts) and they say that the LC-20 is the best charger for the 2017 Volt. That model is only geared to accept 16amp charges but should charge in 4.5 hours. Any other information that might be helpful?

I bought a Bosch EL-51253 through amazon in 2014 that works very well on my 2017 so far.

I bought the 240 Volt TurboCord and it delivers 3.6 KW (the most the Volt will take). Works great so far.

OEM Chevy charger can be used as 240v

I picked up my 17 volt. Found out the 120v OEM charger can be plugged into a 240v outlet (when wired correctly). It cost me about 25 in parts from HomeDepot and I was up and running in 15 mins. Dont mess with 240v unless you're comfortable.

I'm charging in about 5 hours from empty to full

Same here. Charges my 2017 as fast as it can be charged and was about $400 less expensive than what the dealer recommended. From totally dead last night to full charge, 4.5 hours on the money. I leave the car plugged in so I can remote start and pre-condition before leaving. No loss of range this way.

BTW, don't overlook the 30% tax credit for putting in your own charging station. The Fed Tax credit for buying the volt, my State's credit for Sales Tax ($3200 on my vehicle) and he credit for installing the charging station all adds up. Almost $11,000 for tax year 2016. NICE !
